Robert Collins is a representational oil painter in San Francisco.

Art is a horizontal expression of a vertical relationship. It's not the source for answers but a good way to express what we've found elsewhere.

Lately I've been following work by Marc Dalessio, Donald Jurney, Glenn Dean, Jeremy Lipking and Kenton Nelson on Instagram. Sometimes I check out C.W. Mundy and T. Allen Lawson on Facebook.

From 2009 to 2014, I paid my bills by selling my paintings. I'm currently designing a software tool inspired by that struggle and haven't been painting much.
